High School Baseball

Lakeview 11, Crosspoint Christian 8

A four-run seventh inning lifted Lakeview to a comeback victory on Wednesday. Crosspoint trailed 6-2 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, but back-to-back two-RBI hits from Wade Petrik and Isaac Root tied the game. Lakeview scored a single run in the fifth, but Crosspoint claimed the lead in the bottom of the sixth when Brodey Craven scored on an error. But in the seventh, Kollin Tacchini helped the Honkers take the lead with a sacrifice fly, and then Nate Zendejas added insurance with an RBI single. Petrik finished 4-for-5 with a double and two RBIs. Root was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Nate Bowman was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. The winning pitcher was Lakeview’s Tommy Gallagher, working 3.0 innings, allowing seven hits, one earned run, and four strikeouts.

La Pine 13, Lost River 9

A late Raider rally wasn’t enough in Lost River’s regular-season finale. La Pine jumped out to an 8-2 lead after two innings, forcing Lost River to play from behind throughout. The Raiders plated five runs in the bottom of the seventh, but still fell short. Connor Guthrie finished 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI. Miles Scott was 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs. La Pine’s Gunnar Young got the win, pitching 3.1 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs.
