KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Spotting Corban University a 22-0 lead over the first seven minutes of the game, No. 24-ranked Oregon Tech staged an epic comeback, fueled by a career-high 27 points from Kam Osborn, as the Hustlin’ Owls stunned the Warriors, 94-84, at Danny Miles Court.

OIT (14-3, 9-2 CCC) missed their first 14 shots from the field – with the visitors connecting on 7-of-9 to start the game – as Jay Wilson scored 7-straight points in the opening run and a Taylor Anderson lay-up gave Corban the 22-point lead less than eight minutes into the game.

From that point, the Hustlin’ Owls made 62-percent of their field goals – as consecutive Osborn buckets got the hosts on the board. Jamison Guerra converted a 3-point play and splashed a triple, with Garrett Osborne scoring two baskets in a 20-4 run that cut the deficit to 26-20.

The flurry didn’t stop, as OIT scored 13 of the final 15 points of the half, capped by consecutive 3-pointers by Osborn, giving the Owls a 41-37 lead at the break.

The Warriors (9-7, 6-5) and Tech flipped leads 10 times over the first 10 minutes of the second half – before a Blake Jensen inside basket gave the Owls a 64-62 lead – an edge they would not surrender. Guerra scored on a driving lay-up to extend the lead to 79-72 and Osborn converted a 3-point play to make it 83-75. OIT closed out the win by making 11 of their final 12 free throws – ending a 3-game losing streak to Corban.

Guerra finished with 19 points and Jensen logged 10 points and seven rebounds for the victors. Reserves were key for the Owls, as Kody Bauman scored nine, Jackson Cooper had seven points and six rebounds, Jay Elmore hit two second half triples, with Osborne scoring a career-high six.

Tech ended the night 25-of-29 from the foul line, while committing just seven turnovers.

Wilson had 20 points and nine rebounds before fouling out late in the contest. Aundree Polk scored 18 off the bench and Anderson had 16 in the losing effort.

OIT hits the road for the next four games, beginning Friday night with a Top-25 battle at No. 3-ranked College of Idaho.
