Oregon State Beavers Fall to Huskies

Seattle, WA – The Beavers could not keep pace with Washington midway through the first quarter and the Huskies held on to win 79-72.

Oregon State jumped out to an early 21-16 lead, but then Washington erupted for a 16-0 run that put them up 32-21 with 4:30 to go in the first half. Oregon State scored the last four points of the half and Washington led 38-33 at the break. Oregon State had a run of its own to close the difference to 71-65 with two minutes remaining. The teams traded buckets until Washington slammed the door with made free throws in the final seconds.

The Beavers were led in scoring by Jordan Pope who notched 29 on five-of-ten three-point shooting. OSU also got contributions from Tyler Bilodeau with 21 points.

Washington was led by Keion Brook Jr with 26 points and Shvir Wheeler adding 16 points.

The Beavers carry a short two-game skid back home when they welcome Stanford on Thursday.
