Beavers Stumble in Second Half; Fall to Wazzu

Pullman, WA – After leading for the first 20 minutes, the Oregon State Beavers let Washington State back through the door to claim a 65-58 victory.

Oscar Cluff scored Washington State’s first nine points of the second half giving the Cougars their first lead at 30-28. The teams would trade leads one more time before Washington State opened up an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. Oregon State would get close, but not close enough to tie the game again.

The Beavers were led in scoring by Jordan Pope who poured in 20 points on eight-of-16 shooting. OSU also got a 12 point night from KC Ibekwe. For Wazzu, Oscar Cluff led the team with 20 points. Other contributors included Andrej Jakimovski with 15 and Myles Rice who added 12 points.

With the loss Oregon State fell to 9-5 overall and 1-2 in Pac-12 play. They will face Washington on Saturday
