OIT volleyball picked eighth in CCC preseason poll

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Tuesday marked the release of another Cascade Collegiate Conference preseason poll, with the spotlight on volleyball.

The CCC’s head coaches picked Oregon Tech to finish eighth out of 12 teams, one spot lower than they finished last season. The Lady Owls went 12-10 in conference play in 2022, missing the CCC Tournament on a head-to-head tiebreaker with Lewis-Clark State (ID).

Corban, which made a run to the NAIA title match after finishing second in the CCC last season, was picked to win the conference, receiving six first-place votes. Eastern Oregon, which won the CCC regular season and tournament titles last season, was ranked second with five first-place votes.

Oregon Tech volleyball opens the 2023 season at Southern Oregon in the Raider Invitational August 17-18. Their first match is against Embry-Riddle (AZ) at 11 a.m. August 17.
