Just in time for the scares and thrills of Halloween, this silly 40 minute long show tells the story of a group of middle school kids who stumble across a magical pet shop filled with mythical creatures including mogwai, tribbles, phoenixes and a mysterious creature called ‘the scarivore.’ After the adorable fear-eating critter goes home with the especially anxious Jin and eats her fear of the dark, bullies and even algebra it seems like this pet will be the answer to all Jin’s woes… but when disaster strikes their school, her friends will help her to see that sometimes we need a little bit of fear… and a lot of friendship to face our problems.
Starring in the show are four local high school students: Maya McEnroe (as Bas), Audrey McCleve (as Zilla), Marcail Muno (as Jin) and Morgan Tanner (as Gidget) as well as Mathew Landsiedel (Mr. Mat to his preschool students), Scott McEnroe of Collins Products (as Wynn) and Jeff S. Press – local substitute teacher (as Cy). The show also features lots of silly pop culture references, a zany chase scene and a lot of heart.
“It’s been my goal for Little Linkville shows to be fun for the whole family since day one,” says creative director of the Little Linkville series and author of the show, Crystal Muno. “I think this show is the perfect blend of jokes that millennial parents will love – including Star Trek, Seinfeld and 80s movie references- and zany kid comedy with burp jokes and chase scenes.”
