Klamath Falls, Ore – The Klamath Basin’s biggest wrestling tournament of the year took place over the weekend and the host team, Mazama Vikings, won both the boys and girls tournaments. For the Lady Vikings, this is the tournament victory of any size in program history.
Other local schools found the podium on Saturday with the Henley boys placing third. On the girl’s side, Henley placed second with Klamath Union claiming third place. There were also individual achievement awards handed out to local wrestlers. Dylan Clark from Henley was awarded ‘Outstanding Lightweight’ and Mazama’s Tyson Van Gastel earned ‘Outstanding Heavyweight’ honors. Emma Johnson of Mazama was named ‘Outstanding Female’ of the event.
