Monday night, the Sheriff’s Office hosted its first public safety town hall of the year in Dunsmuir at the City Council Chambers. The conversation started with a review of local crime trends and Sheriff’s Office objectives, and then transitioned to the upcoming fire season, discussing the upcoming fire season, emergency alerting protocols, evacuation planning, and other safety challenges unique to Dunsmuir.
Next week, the Sheriff LaRue will be travelling to Dorris on May 5th and then Forks of Salmon on May 7th for the next two public safety town halls.
