Students at Central Catholic High School in Portland have gone to a hybrid online learning model after a student-athlete on the baseball team used hate speech. The school canceled in-person classes yesterday and today to determine how to address the situation.
The incident came to light after the baseball team issued an apology for hate speech during a pregame cheer. In response, the school and players forfeited two games. Central Catholic is set to face Clackamas today in a Mt. Hood Conference game.
