Prep baseball
Yesterday on the prep baseball diamond, the Henley Hornets earned a 4-1 win over St. Helens at the Riverhawk Baseball Invitational in The Dalles. The Hornets are back in action tonight at 6:30 against Philomath.
Prep softball
It was a much busier day for prep softball players yesterday as the Henley Hornets fell 7-1 to and 6-4 against South Umpqua. Mazama lost to Milwaukie 6-2, and Klamath Union earned a pair of wins against Cottage Grove, 7-5 and 17-9. Lost River blasted Rogue River 19-4.
Coming up today, Mazama has a twinbill with Ridgeview and Crook County. Lost River also plays a doubleheader against Madras and The Dalles, and Henley battles Scappoose.
