KFPD Catch Burglary Suspect

On Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at 8:55 a.m., officers with the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in the 600 block of McKinley St in Klamath Falls. The reporting party advised the burglary had occurred 30 minutes prior to making the report, and they had video footage of the incident. Responding patrol officers recognized the suspect caught on the surveillance video, who was identified as thirty-four (34) year old Douglas James White of Klamath Falls, who has a history of violence and firearms possession. Mr. White was also wanted for an alleged brutal assault with a weapon that occurred on October 16th, 2025, at a residence in the 110 block of Lincoln St and suspected to have committed several other assaults similar in nature.

At 3:36 p.m., KFPD patrol officers with the assistance of the Basin Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (BINET), located a vehicle that was suspected to be involved in the burglary.
During this investigation, they learned the location of Mr. White was in an apartment at 221 North Spring St in Klamath Falls.

KFPD patrol officers, detectives, BINET, and Klamath Falls SWAT responded to the apartment to apprehend Mr. White. Oregon State Police also assisted with traffic and perimeter control during the event. After a three and a half (3 ½) hours standoff, Mr. White was placed under arrest without further incident. Evidence from the burglary was also found inside the apartment.
Mr. White was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the charges of Assault I, Assault II, Assault III, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon Possession of a Firearm, and Parole Violation. Possible
charges for the burglary are forthcoming after further investigation.
