The Klamath Falls Falcons (17-2) earned a 10-0 non-league victory over the Phoenix/Cascade Challengers (1-6) on Thursday at Kiger Stadium.
The Falcons used a six-run sixth inning to push the game out of reach. Jacoby Tacchini blasted a three-RBI triple and finished 4-for-4 on the day. Klamath Falls also got RBI hits from Mason Snell and Jacoby Nickerson in the sixth inning. The Falcons needed a single run in the seventh to trigger a mercy rule, and got it when Kollin Tacchini singled to drive in Chase Barrett.
Colby Medeiros tossed a complete game shutout, allowing five hits and three strikeouts. Chris Phillips was the losing pitcher, working 5.0 innings, allowing eight hits, three runs, and three strikeouts.
