Crater 6, Henley 5
Andy Sweet blasted a two-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give Crater a lead late in the ballgame. The Comets got on the board first in the first inning, and carried a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth. The Hornets rallied in the sixth, with Derrick Cox blasting a three-run homer to tie the game, then Chase Barrett later scored on an error to give Henley a lead going into the seventh. Joining Cox as an offensive standout was Jacoby Tacchini, who finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. For Crater, Morgan Austin was 2-for-4 with a double, and Zach Harrington was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Hunter Glidden was the losing pitcher of record for Henley, working 1.0 innings, allowing three hits and two runs.
Klamath Union 3, Lakeview 0
PJ Safford and Tildon Coffman tossed a combined shutout as the Pels earned a win against Lakeview. The Pelicans struck first in the second inning, when Luis Meza Bravo grounded out to score a run. Klamath Union added two more runs in the fifth inning when Tildon Coffman tripled in a run, and was knocked in one at-bat later on a double from Griffin Johnson. Safford picked up the win on the hill, tossing 4.0 innings, allowing one hit and striking out five batters. Coffman earned a save over 3.0 innings, allowing three hits and striking out three.
Lost River 6, Crosspoint Christian 5
The Raiders needed 10 innings to get past the Warriors, but a walkoff single from Colby Medeiros sealed the deal as Lost River earned a conference victory. Crosspoint got out to a hot start, plating four runs in the first inning with RBI hits from Nate Bowman and Wyatt Moyles. The Raiders responded in the fourth inning with a pair of runs, but Crosspoint piled on and led 5-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning. Medeiros added to his line in the fifth, with a single up the middle to score two more runs. Kellen Dunlea doubled later in the inning to add another run to knot the game at 5-5. Wade Petrik and Drew McDonald dueled on the mound in extra innings, but Medeiros came through again, knocking in the winning run. He would finish the day 3-for-five with a double and three RBIs. On the mound, Medeiros worked 7.2 innings in a relief capacity, allowing seven hits and striking out seven batters. Other notables for the Raiders included a 3-for-4 day from Kellen Dunlea, who hit two doubles, and Keagan Dunlea, who was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a double. For Crosspoint, Bowman finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs.

High School Softball
Klamath U./Crosspoint 9, Lakeview/Paisley 8
The Honkers got the tying run to the plate, but were unable to complete a comeback as the Pelicans improved to 10-1 on the season. Klamath Union opened the scoring in the first inning with three singles to start the game, and an RBI single from Seven Harris. Marley Reeves and Caitlynn Fettinger added RBI hits later in the inning. Lakeview was able to rally within a run in the third, but a three-run blast from Dahlia Bunnel kept the Honkers at arm’s length. Even after the Pels scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings, the Honkers were relentless. They scored three runs in the sixth, and a two-run homer from Addie Holderman brought them within one in the seventh, but Ella Hammond slammed the door, recording three straight outs and the win in the circle. Bunnel finished 3-for-4 at the dish with three RBIs and was helped by a 2-for-4 day and a double from Emilia Sguera.
