Henley 10, South Umpqua 0
A walk-off home run from Corbin Hamilton triggered a mercy-rule finish as the Hornets shut out the Lancers in their home opener. Henley plated two runs in the first inning on a two-RBI double from Max Price and added seven more in the second. Cam Carpenter had a triple and a double in that frame, to go along with triples from Conner Shively and Ryan Douglas. South Umpqua’s pitching staff quieted the Hornets’ offense after the second inning until the sixth, when Hamilton blasted his second long ball of the season to end the game early. Hamilton also earned the win on the mound for Henley, tossing 4.0 innings, allowing three hits, and striking out six.
Sisters 13, Mazama 6
Mazama held a lead going into the fifth inning, but the Outlaws rallied for 11 runs to put the game out of reach. Mazama struck first, plating two runs in the first inning with RBIs from Jace Feeback and Jacoby Nickerson. After Sisters tied the game in the third, Mazama reclaimed the lead on an RBI single from Mason Snell and held it until the pivotal fifth inning. The Vikings scored in the sixth and seventh innings, but it wasn’t enough. Snell finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored, while Feeback went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Snell was also the losing pitcher for Mazama, recording just one out while allowing one hit and five runs, with four walks.

Mazama 12, Sisters 2
Armeda Kirkpatrick collected three hits, including two doubles, in Mazama’s mercy-rule win over the Outlaws. Mazama scored in the first inning on an RBI single from Lily Kennel, who later came around to score on a wild pitch. The Vikings added two runs in the third, five in the fourth, and two more in the fifth. The Outlaws rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth, but it wasn’t enough to avoid the run-rule loss. Kirkpatrick finished 3-for-3 with an RBI, three runs scored, and two doubles. Kennel went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Shealeigh Butcher earned the win in the circle, pitching 5.0 innings while allowing three hits, two runs, and striking out six.
