Portland, Ore. – Starting April 1st, Pacific Power customers in Oregon will see a noticeable increase in their monthly bills, with rates climbing by 4.1%. This hike, approved by the Oregon Public Utility Commission, will add approximately $5.64 to the average monthly bill, although actual increases will vary based on individual energy consumption.
Ryan Flynn, President of Pacific Power, discussed these adjustments in a recent interview, emphasizing the necessity of adapting to rising costs in fuel, purchased power, and other expenses. He noted that the company is working under the Fair Act, which delays rate increases until after the winter heating season, ensuring that customers have some relief before any hikes take effect.
