Softball Series with UBC Moved to Klamath Falls

via Oregon Tech Athletic Communications

CORVALLIS, Ore. – A first-place showdown between Oregon Tech and British Columbia will now be played in Klamath Falls, due to a poor weekend weather forecast in Vancouver, B.C.

OIT and UBC were originally scheduled to play Friday and Saturday at Collings Field, but heavy rain is in the forecast for the Vancouver metro – with the high likelihood that the facility would be unplayable.  Per Cascade Conference guidelines, the series will shift to the visiting site (Oregon Tech), however, the original host (UBC) will remain the home team.

The series will be played this Saturday and Sunday at Stilwell Stadium, with each doubleheader set for 11 a.m. – and be broadcast live on the Urban Edge Network.

The Lady Owls enter the series with an 8-1 CCC record, while UBC sits at 5-1 – coming off a conference road series win at Southern Oregon.
