TULSA, Okla. – Oregon State fell to Tulsa 31-14 on Saturday afternoon at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
Freshman quarterback Tristan Ti’a threw his first career touchdown passes, the first on a 3-yard toss to Trent Walker and the second on a 4-yard connection with David Wells Jr.
Ti’a played in the fourth quarter and completed 8-of-11 passes for 141 yards. He added a two-point conversion on a pass to Karson Boschma.
Wells Jr. had seven receptions for 61 yards and Walker caught five passes for 117 yards.
Anthony Hankerson rushed for 46 yards and eclipsed 1,000 for the second-straight season. He has 1,015 yards this season after rushing for 1,082 last year. He’s just the sixth Oregon State player in history with two or more 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
Tyree Blake led the Beaver defense with a career-high 11 tackles. Aiden Sullivan added eight tackles and Jojo Johnson had the lone sack for Oregon State.
The Beavers have a bye week before concluding their season against Washington State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29 at Gesa Field in Pullman, Wash. The game will be televised nationally on The CW.
