KFPD Arrest Tulelake Man for Methamphetamine related crimes

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, members of the Basin Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (BINET) furthered an ongoing investigation and arrested Tulelake, California, resident Gonzalo RAMIREZ-RODRIGUEZ (74), in the 300 Block of West Front Street in Merrill, Oregon. BINET learned RAMIREZ-RODRIGUEZ was meeting with an individual at this location to sell Methamphetamine. The sale was occurring less than 1,000 feet from Merrill Elementary School. BINET, along with the Oregon State Police (OSP) patrol officers, contacted RAMIREZ-RODRIGUEZ. During the interaction with RAMIREZ-RODRIGUEZ, BINET investigators located and seized approximately three (3) pounds of suspected Methamphetamine, United States Currency believed to be the proceeds of sales of Methamphetamine, and evidence of distribution of controlled substances.

RAMIREZ-RODRIGUEZ was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on charges of:

• ORS 475.894 – Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine
• ORS 475.892 – Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a School
• ORS 475.888 – Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a School

This BINET investigation included detectives from the Klamath Falls Police Department, the Oregon State Police, and an intelligence analyst from the Oregon National Guard Counter-Drug Program. BINET is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force that identifies, disrupts, and dismantles local drug trafficking organizations.
