The Klamath County School District will be conducting an emergency response drill at Ferguson Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025. This drill will involve staff, high school student volunteers, and local emergency responders only — Ferguson students will not be on campus.
Please note:
- Students will not be on campus during this drill. Oct. 10 is a day off for students and a grade day for teachers.
- Only staff and emergency responders will participate.
- The drill will help our staff practice procedures and strengthen coordination with local law enforcement and first responders.
We recognize that the topic of school safety can be concerning. Our goal is to prepare our staff so they can respond quickly and effectively in the unlikely event of an emergency. By practicing these procedures without students present, we can make sure our teams are confident and ready while keeping the environment as stress-free as possible for our children.
