Beavers Drop Rivalry Game At No. 6 Oregon

EUGENE, Ore – Oregon State fell to No. 6 Oregon 41-7 on Saturday afternoon at Autzen Stadium in the 129th all-time meeting in the Rivalry Series

The Oregon State-Oregon Rivalry Series is presented by Safeway-Albertsons, PacificSource Health Plans, Your Local Toyota Dealers and First Interstate Bank.

The Beavers tied the game 7-7 in the first quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Anthony Hankerson. The scoring play was set up on a 21-yard pass from Maalik Murphy to Taz Reddicks.

Bryce Caufield and Reddicks led Oregon State with two receptions apiece. Hankerson finished with 38 yards rushing and 13 yards receiving.

Shamar Meikle and Aiden Sullivan each had a game-high 10 tackles. Takari Hickle added a sack, the third of his Beaver career.

The Beavers will next host Houston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 26 at Reser Stadium.
