Salem, OR – Today, Governor Tina Kotek ordered flags at Oregon public institutions to be flown at half-staff until sunset on August 31, 2025, pursuant to a Presidential Proclamation in honor of the victims and survivors of the horrific act of gun violence that occurred on August 27 at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.
“Children and educators deserve to be safe in their schools,” Governor Kotek said. “I offer my deepest condolences to the students and families who had their first week of school shattered by this senseless act of gun violence. Oregon’s thoughts and prayers are with you.”
