On Monday, August 11, 2025, at 12:52 p.m., Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies—assisted by the Oregon State Police responded to the area of South Lalakes Avenue and Charley Street for a report of a shooting.
Through investigation, deputies determined this was an isolated incident between two known individuals over a dispute. This was not a random act and did not involve the general public. Shots were fired into a vacant residence, which was searched; no one was located inside. No injuries or victims were reported as all parties had dispersed before law enforcement arrival.
Based on witness statements and video surveillance, a suspect has been identified, and law enforcement is actively working to apprehend them.
