Bryson Tiller announces release of ‘The Vices’, Part 1 of double-album ‘Solace & The Vices’

Bryson Tiller arrives for the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ LA Premiere on December 13^ 2021 in Westwood^ CA

Bryson Tiller has announced the release date for The Vices — the first half of his upcoming two-part album, Solace & The Vices. Tiller hasn’t shared the tracklist for the project, but he did tease that fans can look forward to more than 20 songs between the double-album.

Tiller said in a video shared on Instagram that “Part one of my double album comes Aug. 8. Welcome to Vice City, baby!”  According to Tiller, the project will be “very rap-heavy,” and won’t necessarily fit into one genre: “With The Vices, I decided to get rid of my vices completely and prove to myself that I didn’t need weed, alcohol [or any] other shenanigans to have fun. “I’ve been sober ever since.” A press release confirmed that the album features production by Charlie Heat, Teddy Walton, Hitmaka, and Gravez (who previously worked on Tiller’s “502 Come Up” and “Sorrows”).

Tiller further detailed the new project on Instagram, writing, “It’s hard to call one a ‘rap album’ and the other ‘r&b’ because I can’t help but to do both on every song. Just know that this is a TRUE double album and not just 20+ songs that I wanted to share. When I was writing Solace my number one goal was to treat it like therapy and say exactly what was on my mind, finding comfort during my times of sadness. That felt good. With The Vices I decided to get rid of my Vices completely and prove to myself that I didn’t need Weed, Alcohol, and all the other shenanigans to have FUN. I’ve been sober ever since. (Still tryna figure out how to look like I enjoy the club tho lol).”

Tiller is also joining Chris Brown on the North American leg of his “Breezy Bowl XX Stadium World Tour,” with support from Summer Walker and Jhené Aiko on select shows.
