KLAMATH FALLS, Ore – The Klamath Falls Falcons (26-6-1) grabbed wins against the North Jackson Royals (10-8) and the Phoenix Pirates (5-6), avenging prior losses from earlier in the month. Here is how each game unfolded…
JULY 11th GAME 1: Klamath Falls 7, North Jackson 6
The Falcons built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and held off a late rally to defeat the Royals at Kiger Stadium.
After P.J. Safford knocked in the opening run of the ballgame in the first inning, North Jackson took the lead in the top of the fourth. But the Falcons responded with a six-run rally in the fourth inning, helped by a Jacoby Tacchini two-RBI double.
The Royals plated three runs in the fifth and got the tying run on base in the seventh, but the rally fell short, and the Falcons were victorious.
Kollin Tacchini picked up the win on the hill for the Falcons, pitching 4.2 innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out nine batters. Collin Stockton held the loss for North Jackson despite throwing a complete game. Safford earned his third save of the summer, tossing the final 2.1 innings and fanning three batters.
Offensively, Jacoby Tacchini finished 2-3 with two RBI and two doubles. Carson Siems added a double in a 2-2 performance, and Safford finished 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Nathan Mallari was the standout at the plate for the Royals, turning in a 4-4 day with two RBI.
JULY 11TH GAME 2: Klamath Falls 10, North Jackson 1
P.J. Safford and Jacoby Tacchini each had three hits in a convincing Falcons win.
A nine-run fourth inning powered the victory for the Klamath Falls squad. Kollin Tacchini doubled, scoring a run, followed later by singles from Safford and Max Price. The Falcons were also helped by four walks surrendered by the Royals’ pitching staff in the pivotal fourth inning.
Safford wrapped the game 3-4 with three RBI, and Jacoby Tacchini was 3-3 with two RBI. For North Jackson, Nathan Mallari was 3-3, and Cooper White added an RBI on a 1-2 day.
Corbin Hamilton earned his sixth win of the summer on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings, allowing three hits and a run while punching out five batters. North Jackson used five pitchers in the game, but the starter, Carson Robinson, picked up the loss, working 3.0 innings, allowing eight hits and four runs.
JULY 13TH: Klamath Falls 20, Phoenix 8
A 20-hit attack fueled the Falcons in the penultimate home game of the season. Ian Meyer, Conner Shively, and Carson Siems all had three hits in the win.
Both offenses traded blows in the first three innings. The Falcons jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the bottom of the first with help from Jacoby Tacchini and Corbin Hamilton, who both blasted triples in the opening frame. Phoenix scored two runs in the second, but the Falcons responded with a pair of their own. And when the Pirates punched back in the third with a single run, the Falcons reciprocated with two more.
The fourth inning is where the Falcons put the game away, rallying for 10 runs on eight hits in the frame. Meyer, Hamilton, and Chase Barrett each blasted doubles in the monstrous inning.
Klamath Falls used four pitchers in the win, and the decision went to Carson Pimley, tossing 4.0 innings and allowing five hits and three runs while setting down five hitters on strikes. Brody Ahlin picked up the loss for Phoenix, going 3.0 innings in the start, allowing 11 hits and 10 runs.
The Falcons blasted a total of eight extra-base hits in the contest. Meyer finished 3-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Corbin Hamilton was 2-3 with a double and a triple while knocking in a pair of runs. Tacchini was 2-5 with a double and triple with two RBI. Ahlin was the standout for Phoenix, going 3-4 with three RBI.

The Klamath Falls Falcons will put an eight-game winning streak on the line in their final home game of the summer in a single 9-inning game against the Roseburg Dr. Randol’s Crowns on July 14th at Kiger Stadium.
