Illegal Marijuana Grow Site Discovered in Sprague River, OR Leads to Arrests

On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a property on Canadian Honker Lane in Sprague River, Oregon. The warrant followed surveillance that revealed what appeared to be an illegal outdoor marijuana grow operation.
Two individuals were located on scene and arrested:
• Tyler Cengiz, 34 Y/O
• Azure Felan, 34 Y/O
Both were charged with the following crimes:
• Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (ORS 475B.337)
• Unlawful Manufacture of Marijuana (ORS 475B.349)
The investigation confirmed the presence of 234 marijuana plants, including:
• 160 plants inside a greenhouse
• 74 plants growing outdoors in a nearby field
Additionally, one of the greenhouses had already been processed prior to the search warrant being served.
Water Theft Investigation:
The marijuana plants were being illegally irrigated using water from a domestic well. It is estimated that over 85,000 gallons of water were unlawfully used to support the grow operation. A separate investigation is ongoing for Unlawful Use or Appropriation of Ground Water (ORS 537.535).
Deputies also observed significant amounts of trash and debris on the property, including plastic coverings and other waste materials, posing environmental concerns.
This investigation was a collaborative effort and the Sheriff’s Office would like to thank:
• Klamath County District Attorney’s Office
• Klamath County Code Enforcement
• Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP)
• Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC)
• Oregon Department of Agriculture
• Oregon State Watermaster’s Office
Community safety and environmental protection remain top priorities for the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office. Illegal grow operations not only break the law but also deplete local water resources and create long-term hazards for our community.
