On Thursday, June 12th, 2025, Officers with the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to 6601 Swan Ct., regarding an assault. On arrival, officers contacted the victim, Jonathan Ortega, who reported he had been stabbed during a physical altercation that occurred in the parking lot. Mr. Ortega was transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center by emergency personnel with Klamath County Fire District #1.
Detectives with the Klamath Falls Police Department were notified and assumed the case. Through interviews conducted with Mr. Ortega and witnesses, three suspects were identified. As the investigation furthered, detectives developed probable cause for the arrest of two of the suspects involved.
The arrested was 22-year-old Andrew Gonsalez of Klamath Falls and 21-year-old Hunter Gonsalez of Klamath Falls.
Andrew Gonsalez was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the charges of Assault 1 and
Unlawful use of weapon.
Hunter Gonsalez was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on the charge of Assault III.
The third suspect identified was cleared of any involvement and released.
As of Friday, June 13th, 2025, Mr. Ortega was listed in stable condition with a non-life-
threatening injury.
