Falcons Win Three Straight; Begin Three Game Homestand

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore – The Klamath Falls Falcons (3-1) have won three games in the past two days and will kick off a three-game homestand over the next two days. Here is how the team has fared before returning home…

JUNE 12th GAME 1: Klamath Falls 15, North Medford 1

Connor Shively led the offensive attack as the Falcons grabbed their first win of the season. Shively finished the game 3-4 with a double, triple, and four RBI. As a team, the Falcons amassed 11 hits and were helped by four North Medford errors.

The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning when Kollin Tacchini lined a double, followed by a P.J. Safford single, both knocking in a run. Klamath Falls added four more in each the second and third innings, and five more in the fourth as they cruised to a mercy-rule victory.

Tacchini also picked up the win on the mound for the Falcons, tossing 4.0 innings and allowing one hit while punching out seven batters. The starter for North Medford, Colston Staller, picked up the loss after pitching 2.1 innings, giving up five hits and eight runs.

JUNE 12th GAME 2: Klamath Falls 10, North Medford 0

An infield single in the bottom of the sixth inning from P.J. Safford sent the hometown fans home happy at Kiger Stadium, as the Falcons earned a mercy-rule victory and the doubleheader sweep of the North Medford Mavericks.

The Falcons’ steady attack collected 13 hits, with all but two players recording a base knock. Ian Meyer finished 2-2 with three RBI and a run scored. Conner Shively was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Corbin Hamilton earned the win on the hill, working 4.1 innings, allowing four hits while setting down nine hitters. Safford collected his save of the summer in 1.2 innings of work, striking out three batters.

JUNE 13th: Klamath Falls 15, Roseburg 0

The Falcons hit the road early Friday morning and packed their bats, fueling a 16-hit attack in a decisive victory over the Pepsi Bottle Caps.

Conner Shively smashed two doubles in a 3-3 performance, knocking in four RBI. Kollin Tacchini was 3-4 with a triple and an RBI, while Max Price added two doubles and an RBI.

Hunter Glidden pitched efficiently through 5.0 innings en route to a win, only allowing two hits. Nick Ruiz earned the loss for Roseburg, going 4.0 innings, allowing 13 hits and 11 runs (eight earned).

The Falcons return home for three games across Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the Roseburg Pepsi Bottle Caps will travel to Kiger Stadium for a single 9-inning game.
