Oregon is joining a lawsuit against the Trump Administration over cuts to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The suit argues that President Trump’s actions violate hundreds of federal statutes and regulations. Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield says that taking the action without approval by Congress disregards the constitutional separation of powers and undermines laws and budgets set by Congress to protect public health. The lawsuit seeks to restore the cuts.
