CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech dominated the 2025 Cascade Conference Baseball Awards – as Tyler Horner earned Player of the Year for a second-straight season and Tim Williams was selected as Co-Pitcher of the Year.
The duo was joined on the All-CCC list by Patrick Barry and Julien Jones, with Barry and Jones, along with Ka’ala Tam and Isaac Hill, selected as Gold Glove Team recipients.
Horner headlines the group, becoming the fifth player in league history to win multiple Player of the Year honors (Jonah Hultberg of College of Idaho, J.J. Robinson of LC State, Izaac Garsez of College of Idaho, Chris Baird of Concordia-Portland). The senior catcher leads the league with a .427 batting average and 20 doubles, ranking second with 63 RBI and fourth with 13 home runs. He has reached safely in 57-straight games dating back to the 2024 season and currently holds the all-time CCC record for hits, doubles, and RBI. Horner is the third OIT player to earn three first-team All-CCC honors – joining Kellen Stevens (2002-04) and Ryan Wilson (2003-05)
Williams shares the Pitcher of the Year award with LC State’s Jadon Williamson and UBC’s Kyle Anderson. The right-hander leads the league with a perfect 7-0 record and ranks third in the circuit with a 3.14 ERA – striking out 60 batters in 71.2 innings of work – throwing 6-or-more innings in 9-straight starts.
Barry earns All-CCC honors for the second-straight year, leading the league in hits (80) and has broken the OIT single-season record for runs scored (67) – while posting a .412 batting average, 19 doubles, 15 stolen bases and 40 RBI. The senior shortstop set the Northwest small-college hit-streak record earlier in the year, safely recording a hit in 37-consecutive games – while taking a string of 8-straight multi-hit games into the CCC Championships. Barry leads all CCC shortstops with a .964 fielding percentage – including 135 defensive assists.
Jones earns his second All-CCC honor and his second Gold Glove award – posting career highs during his senior season. The right-fielder heads into the postseason hitting .360 with 12 home runs and 51 RBI, leading the CCC with 28 stolen bases and the entire NAIA with 29 hit-by-pitches. Defensively, the senior leads the CCC with nine outfield assists.
Tam and Hill each have been key to the Owls success – as Tech ranks second in the NAIA with a .980 fielding percentage. Tam, Tech’s lockdown left fielder, has just one error in 108 defensive chances, while Hill has worked both in the Owls rotation and in the pen – playing flawless defense.
The Hustlin’ Owls open up play at the CCC Championships on Friday, meeting Lewis-Clark State at 2:30 p.m.
