KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech softball coach Greg Stewart has announced the signing of NFCA All-America outfielder Jazmine Macias to a Cascade Conference Letter of Intent for the 2025 season.
Macias had a banner sophomore season at Cerritos College, hitting .418 with four home runs and 32 RBI, scoring 54 runs with 17 doubles – while leading the California Community Colleges Athletic Association with 52 stolen bases.
Originally from La Mirada, Calif., Macias was named a first-team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association, was named the New Balance/NFCA Golden Shoe Award winner for her prowess on the basepaths, while earning Rawlings/NFCA Gold Glove honors for her play in the outfield.
“Jazmine will be an immediate impact player in our outfield next season. She covers a lot of ground, has a good arm and looks to become a top of the order addition in 2025. Jazmine hits the ball well to all fields and has displayed extra base power to go with a true threat on the basepaths. We are thrilled she will be an Owl next season.”
A 2-time All-South Coast Conference selection, Macias was also a CCCAA Academic All-State selection.
The daughter of Andre and Ivonne Macias, the new Lady Owls outfielder will study psychology at OIT.
