Klamath County Economic Development Grant Summer 2024 Application Cycle

Klamath County has established an Economic Development Grant Program to assist county businesses in promoting the local economy in Klamath County. Economic Development grants are for regional businesses looking for startup or expansion funds in Klamath County. The Board of County Commissioners looks for projects that offer the potential to create and retain jobs as well as enhance a business’s ability to develop, expand and bring economic growth to the area. Projects should identify a target market and offer a specific strategy for reaching this market. Funding for Economic Development Grant Program comes from the Oregon State Lottery Fund.

Grant applications are reviewed and recommendations made by an eight-member advisory panel appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The panel makes approval, denial, and funding level recommendations to the Klamath County Board of Commissioners who will then make the final decision for awarding funds.

Grant applications will be available online at https://www.klamathcounty.org/1253/Economic-Development-Grant-Program. The grant application cycle opens on June 14, 2024 and closes at 5:00 pm on July 15, 2024. Applicants must attend a mandatory grant orientation meeting on June 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM in room 219 of the Klamath County Government Center (Please note: If your organization has received a Klamath County Tourism Grant or Economic Development Grant in the last 18 months your attendance is NOT required at the grant orientation meeting). Applications are due no later than July 15, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The Economic Development Advisory Panel will be reviewing the applications and making recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners following the submission deadline.
