CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech senior Ally Odell was named Rize Laboratory-Cascade Conference Women’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the league office.
Odell had a career weekend at the Oregon Tech Invitational, winning 6-of-7 events in the heptathlon, registering the No. 1 mark in the NAIA (at the time) with a score of 4,428 – the best mark for a Lady Owl in the event in 15 years.
The Canby grad opened the meet with a personal best time of 15.37 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, cleared a season-best 1.55 meters in the high jump and added a shot put mark of 10.06 meters in a driving rainstorm and logged a personal best time of 27.87 seconds in the 200-meters.
Saturday, Odell won the long jump (4.89 meters) and had a personal best mark of 36.70 meters to win the javelin. She capped the meet with a win in the 800-meters (2:32.75).
OIT has the weekend off, prepping for the Humboldt Invitational – set for the first weekend in April.
