CORVALLIS, Ore. – A series win over a Top-25 opponent helped Oregon Tech sweep the Rize Laboratory-Cascade Conference Baseball weekly awards, announced by the league office.
Cody Dubray was honored by the league as Pitcher of the Week, with Tyler Horner earning Player of the Week honors.
Dubray, a senior from La Grande, had a dominant pitching performance in Game 4 of the series with UBC, tossing six shutout innings – limiting the T-Birds to two hits, one walk and striking out a season-high nine.
Horner, a junior from Twin Falls, Idaho, had four multi-hit games in the UBC series – going 10-for-19 with a triple, his league-leading ninth home run and four RBI. The catcher posted 3-hit games in the back end of both doubleheaders, running his hit streak to 10 games.
Tech hits the road this weekend for a 4-game series at College of Idaho.
