Klamath Union Student Get Top Honors in National Film Contest

Klamath Falls, ORE   C-SPAN announced the prize-winning documentaries in StudentCam 2024 – their 20th anniversary of the competition!
C-SPAN received entries from over 3,200 students representing 42 states, Washington, D.C., the Mariana Islands, Canada, and India. Klamath Union had three entries into this year’s competition with all three winning.
Klamath Union has  Digital Media had three entries into this year’s competition with each of the three winning.
Winning 3rd place in the High School West Division was Elsie Baumann with her film “Keystone Species – The American Bald Eagles of the Klamath Basin.”
Finishing 49th with an Honorable Mention was senior Mia Hidden and her film “A New World of Farming: Regenerative vs. Conventional Farming.” This is the second year that Mia has finished in the top group of winners in the C-SPAN competition.
Finishing 59th with an Honorable Mention was junior Bryce Peterson and his film “Political Polarization – Disunity in America.” This was the first year that Bryce entered the competition.
