Mayor Westfall Announces “If I Were Mayor” contest.

Klamath Falls, ORE– Klamath Falls Mayor, Carol Westfall, wants to know what kids think about being Mayor in the  “If I Were Mayor” contest.

The Contest is part of the  Oregon Mayors Association and will award one kid from three different age groups $500 at a ceremony to be held this summer at the Running Y.

A press release from the Mayor states that All local students are invited to submit a poster, essay, and digital media, as applicable for their age group (see the link below and/or visit the City’s Website for more information), to the City of Klamath Falls for the “If I Were Mayor” contest.

Submissions for the local contest must be submitted to the City digitally at admin@klamathfalls.city and by 10 am on March 29, 2024.

The Klamath Falls’ Selection Committee will determine local winners for each category and the winners will be eligible to have lunch with Mayor Carol Westfall, along with receiving a cash prize.

The local winners will also be entered into the state competition through the League of Oregon Cities and the state winners will also be eligible for a cash prize, along with being announced at the Oregon Mayors Conference at the Running Y Ranch in July 2024.
