Shane Mitchell Joins Race for Sheriff

 Klamath County, ORE– It’s up to 7 candidates for sheriff in the May primary.

The latest entry to the race is Shane Mitchell.

Mitchell spent 24 years working at the sheriff’s department and is the only Native American in the race for sheriff.

According to his website, “Shane Mitchell was born and raised in Klamath Falls. He graduated from Henley High School and attended Oregon Institute of Technology. Shane is an enrolled member of the Klamath Tribes and he and his wife, Kaci, raised their two daughters in Klamath and now get to enjoy watching their three grandchildren who are involved in various activities throughout the County. Shane and Kaci’s daughter and son-in-law own a successful organic hay farm in the Klamath Basin.

Shane prides himself on keeping Klamath County a safe place for his family and friends to call home. He has proudly served and protected the citizens of Klamath County for over 20 years and is eager to take on this new journey to continue serving Klamath County and protecting the safety of its Citizens.”
