Klamath Falls, ORE– Klamath Falls Police Department is welcoming its newest member to its force.
He’s young and enthusiastic. When you toss a tennis ball, he’s a real go-getter.
No, it’s not a rooky cop but rather an 18-month-old Dutch Shepherd named Phoenix who is trained in tracking, searching, and apprehension.
Phoenix will be joining his handler Officer Alex Pena who fell in love with her new sidekick almost immediately.
But they’re not wasting time and putting him right to work in fighting crime and they say Phoenix has already conducted several successful searches and is having no problem fitting into the KFPD.
They say he slays the ladies as the cutest cop on the beat and he’s doing a great job to boot.
