Commissioner Dave Henslee Says He’s Retiring

Klamath County, ORE– After more than 30 years working as a public servant, Klamath County Commissioner Dave Henslee says he is retiring at the end of 2024.

In a Facebook post, the Commissioner said “After much thought and contemplation, I have decided to withdraw my candidacy for Klamath County Commissioner. I will fulfill my current term but will not seek re-election.”

He says not running will allow him to focus on the work of Klamath County but no word on if he will seek another office, but his final day of work will be on Dec 31st of this year.

The deadline to file for office is March 12 which means if anyone wants to challenge his only opponent Dan Girard for the first position on the board, time is running out.
