Commissioner Dave Henslee has left the building.
The commissioner who in December stated you could reach him on his cell phone has withdrawn from the race for a position on the Klamath County Board of Commissioners.
No word yet from Commissioner Henslee, who was asked to confirm or deny the rumors last night by email. But as of this morning that candidate filing for Commissioner Hensley has been withdrawn from the Klamath County Election website.
Dan Girard who’s also running for position one on the Commission said he thinks democracy should have a spirited race saying, ” I don’t like the idea of going out of pose. That’s the whole idea behind democracy. Everybody gets the right to choose the person that they think is going to do the best job for them. But yeah, I was blatantly surprised when I heard the news last night.”
