Washington D.C. — Congressman Cliff Bentz, U.S. representative for Klamath County in Washington, explained his position towards the pending impeachment proceedings.
For Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday, House Republicans on Sunday released the impeachment articles against President Biden’s top immigration official accusing him of willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law and breach of public trust over the administration’s handling of the migrant crisis at the US Mexico border.
Here’s what Bentz had to say, “The speaker this morning the House Committee on Homeland Security passed two articles of impeachment, accusing Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas of high crimes and misdemeanors. I fought and with the information developed by the committee have come to believe that Secretary Monarcas should be impeached for his clear violation of the law. And when this matter comes to the floor, I intend to vote in favor of his impeachment.”
