BOCC Thanks Acting DA Casalino at Weekly Meeting

Klamath County, ORE– Board of Commissioners a few moments at the beginning of their weekly business meeting yesterday to congratulate acting District Attorney John Casalino on more than a year of service in Klamath County.

After Eve Costello stepped down as District Attorney in 2022. Former Oregon Governor Kate Brown ordered Casalino, a renowned attorney from the Department of Justice to fill the position until a new one could be appointed.

And with the recent appointment of David Schutt to the job, Casalino had nothing but good things to say about his time here, ” I’m really impressed by people in this community, the leadership in this community, community members, I know that there’s always some it’s government and it’s public.”

Casalino went on, “There’s always going to be some squabbles, but I want all of you to know you have here is unique. It really comes across to me that the commissioners care about this community and are acting to serve this community better.”
