Pullman, WA – The Oregon Ducks held on late to defeat the Washington State Cougars 89-84 on Saturday night.
Oregon led by five at halftime but Washington State battled back when Myles Rice brought the game within two points with 1:50 left. Jadrian Tracey buried a triple with one second left on the shot clock and the Ducks led by five with 40 seconds to go. After a few missed free throws, Oregon held on to claim victory.
The Ducks were led in scoring by Brennan Rigsby who scored 18 of 4-of-5 three-point shooting. The Ducks also got contributions from Jermaine Couisnard with 16, Kano Oquendo with 15, and Jackson Shelstad who wadded 14 points. Meantime for Wazzu, it was Myles Rice who led the way with 22 points.
With the win, Oregon improves to 12-3 and 4-0 in conference play. The Ducks will take a five-game winning streak back home when they host Cal on Thursday.
