CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon Tech point-guard Gabbie Gascon was honored as Rize Laboratory-Cascade Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, announced by the league office.
The sophomore, from Jackson, Calif., helped the Lady Owls to weekend wins over No. 18-ranked Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho, improving their record to 7-0 on the season.
Gascon tied a career-high with 16 points in the victory over EOU, while scoring 14 points, all in the first half, in the win over C of I – adding four rebounds, three assists and two steals in both games.
OIT returns to action this weekend, traveling to Willamette on Friday and Western Oregon (exhibition game) on Saturday.
