Update: Klamath Falls Man Arrested On Animal Abuse Charges

Klamath Falls, ORE–A Klamath Falls man was arrested last Wednesday on 16 charges of animal neglect, 16 charges of animal abandonment, and 1 felony count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The arrest came when officers discovered approximately 15 rottweilers, many of which were puppies, in a UHaul trailer that was being towed by the suspect and reported stolen at the Loves Truck Stop.

Officers say they arrested David McMillion at the scene and are looking for a second suspect named Lisa Annette Weeks.

The suspect surrendered an additional 10 dogs to the county and all the dogs were taken to the Klamath County Animal Shelter where some were tested for parvo, a  a highly contagious virus that can kill puppies and older dogs who are unvaccinated. The Shelter has shut down adoptions and human access to the shelter while the dogs are being quarantined. McMillion will be indicted on charges this week in Klamath County Circuit Court.
