Interview with Sheriff Chris Kaber on the Ethics Claim in Klamath County

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Friday morning, we have a very special interview that we will publish where we speak with Sheriff Chris Kaber about the ethics complaint filed by the Board of Commissioners Chair, Derrick DeGroot on June 20th.

The Commission has given the Sheriff 90 days to either fire his two sons from the force or resign from office. However, the ethics board has up to six months to issue its findings in the case and the Sheriff says he is awaiting that opinion and will abide by that ruling and its penalties whether it comes down in his favor or not.

You can decide for yourself by watching both interviews we shot with Commissioner DeGroot and Sheriff Kaber on Mybasin.com and we have also included links to the complaint, Kabers Attorney response, and a statement from Chris Kaber that he sent to the board directly.

Kaber has not decided whether he plans to run again for county sheriff saying that the last year has been too much for him and his family and that he hopes a candidate who has the skill and talent to do the job right runs for the the office.
