The Tulelake Butte Valley Fair brought in a hefty bit of cash for this year’s livestock. The Grand Champion for Swine raised by Quiana Cundall sold for $5760 at auction. She was followed by Casandra Hernandez whose lamb garnered $4647.50 with Kendra Worth earning $6600 for her grand champion goat. But the big winner of the afternoon was Gus Gutherie with his Grand champion steer bringing in a hefty $8310. All the kids who raised animals made out with Benefit the Basin adding to the price tag to all the swine, as well as several of the sheep, goats and steer for what can only be termed as a highly successful 2023 Tulelake Butte Valley Fair.
