City Council Hears Tales of Terror Caused By Downtown Lights

Klamath Falls, OR–  The rain didn’t keep them away nor the confusion caused by the traffic lights downtown. In a more populated meeting, than has been seen in quite a while last night, dozens of residents showed up to express their displeasure with the ongoing traffic test and they were heard. Some complained about profit losses while others talked about the fear they feel driving and even walking downtown. Mother of two Bethany Simpson brought her two kids to the podium last night to explain why she feels it dangerous, ” What happened to me, I was pushing a stroller the other day.  It was empty I’m grateful to say and I made eye contact with all the cars a block down. Proceeded carefully, and one car saw a blinking yellow, swooped around everybody, got right in front of a city bus, and missed me by feet. Now I am extremely careful.  It’s not if, it is when.”
