LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association recognized Oregon Tech softball as an Easton/NFCA Scholar Team and 12 Lady Owls players as Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athletes.
The team maintained a cumulative 3.63 GPA during the 2022-23 academic year, the sixth highest among NAIA programs. Oregon Tech also had the highest GPA of any team at the 2023 NAIA Softball World Series, where they reached the championship round.
The 12 OIT players recognized were Zoe Allen, Jensen Becker, Marla Goodspeed, Jenna Gorden, Addison Kachnik, Lexi Klum, Kaila Mick, Malia Mick, Carli Moore, Kacie Schmidt, Jayce Seavert and Olivia Sprague. Each of them maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA throughout the 2022-23 academic year.
