Bomb Threat at US Bank All A Big Miscommunication

Us Bank

Angry words over the phone last week caused a stir at US Bank on South 6th street.  On July 19 at approximately 2 PM a call came into US Bank where a bank employee received comments from an irate customer making threatening comments over the phone. Local Bank Employees were advised to call the Klamath County Sheriff who  understood the situation to be a bomb threat and who evacuated the bank for a short period of time. When it was all said and done however, The person who made the original comments spoke with a KCSO detective and readily admitted to making the statement while upset, but said that it was not meant to be a statement about an actual bomb. The case remains under investigation.
