Illegal Marijuana Grow Busted by Klamath County Sheriff’s Department

An illegal marijuana grow site was shut down over the weekend. The grow site was discovered on Sprague River Drive. Over 1300 marijuana plants were located in 4 separate greenhouses. The plants were destroyed after evidence was collected. Klamath Falls county sheriff’s department said the estimated value of the marijuana on the black market would have been 1.5 million dollars. No arrests were made at the time because no one was at the site when they served the search warrant. The investigation will continue regarding the known property owner. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Solid Waste Department, Code Enforcement, and Water master’s Office.
